Beading Foundations

An introduction to the art of beadwork, where participants learn essential techniques, refined stitching methods, and the principles of intentional design. This session grounds participants in both skill and cultural context.
Outcome: A completed foundational piece and the confidence to begin a personal beading practice.
Red Dress Teachings
Honour. Reflection. Remembrance.
A deeply intentional session centered on the teachings connected to the Red Dress movement. Through guided reflection and creation, participants engage with the significance of MMIWG2S+ awareness.
Outcome: A symbolic beaded piece rooted in honour and collective remembrance.
Orange Shirt Teachings
Truth. Legacy. Witnessing.
This session holds space for learning and reflection on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools. Participants engage with teachings connected to Orange Shirt Day through story and creation.
Outcome: A beaded piece representing truth, resilience, and acknowledgment.
Creative Expansion
Expression. Confidence. Evolution.
A closing experience focused on unlocking creative voice. Participants move beyond structure into self-led design, strengthening their creative instincts and artistic identity.
